Mechanix M-Pact Glove

Details
Category: Gloves
Created: Monday, 30 March 2009 07:00

I wanted to try these out as some shooter gloves that wouldn't blow the budget. They are similar to the original mechanix gloves with added external rubber sections to assist in top of the hand impact protection.

Since a flexbile material they are a decent balance of protection and hand mobility. The finger seams are placed well to allow good dexterity and pistol manipulation. For comfort the palm area has some padding to absorb shock. The result feels good, however makes it harder for me to perform repeated double action shots on my SIG. A velcro strap is used for the main closure which works fine and a tab is nearby which functions as both a hang loop and a pull tab while putting the M-Pacts on. The main draw back would be the base external material loves to snag on hook velcro. Unfortunately most of my cargo pockets have some hook, so the gloves get pretty roughed up and I have to settle things down with a lighter. Other than that, the M-Pact series is a good glove for the price so far.
